I have a confession–I nearly failed Latin in college. Though I love delving into etymologies I was mistaken on the translation of “muni”. A friend kindly corrected me writing that muni is more properly translated “subjected to.” So community means “together subjected.” There are many ways this more correct translation could have been explored in the context of my sermon and perhaps I will in the future, but in the interest of truth and accuracy I wanted to offer this correction.

Ragan I enjoy reading your writings from time to time and admire your simple approach to life . I agree we are what we read and give ourselves to . God is a God of grace and mercy and I must admit I miss the mark often .As scripture teaches we all have sinned and fell short of God’s glory. Sin is sin . With this when we came to Christ He saved us and charged us to become like him .Its a process and we (I) have to be careful not to use it as a excuse to continue in sin. When we feed on Him the voids that sin fills begins to move aside and the light of Christ shines .
Not sure if you have heard from Brad lately but he is about to go to American Samoa to work on a project .
Hope things are going well with you . I really enjoy my backyard farm. You’ll have to come check me out sometime———-Gary Alexander
