Sabbath Manifesto: Ceasing From Technology
As I hear Neil Postman and Jacques Ellul’s voices ringing in my ear, and the Sabbath Manifesto folks calling us to reclaim sabbath and unplug- I am struck at how hard it is to escape from the tyranny of the Web we have woven.
Escaping “Usefulness”
I have been working to be unproductive at least one day a week. It’s a difficult chore, but one I think we are called to. We are called to be still so that we can know God—to simply be in God’s presence.
